Pre-insurance inspection
Also called break-in inspection
An insurer asks for an inspection before it gives cover to a vehicle it has not seen. This is common when a policy has lapsed, or when a vehicle moves from third-party to comprehensive cover. We inspect the vehicle and send the report to the insurer's branch.
